The Amygdala-Kindling Rat Model

Accelerating the Identification of Novel Antiseizure Medications

Download Application Note

Epilepsy is a chronic neurological disorder characterized by recurrent spontaneous seizures caused by pathological hyperexcitability and abnormal neuronal discharges. The most common form in adults is temporal lobe epilepsy.

Despite the introduction of more than 20 new anti-seizure medications over the past 30 years, there is continuing clinical demand for more efficacious and better tolerated ASMs.

At SynapCell, we are committed to providing translational, predictive, and decision-enabling preclinical models. To that end, we are expanding our epilepsy portfolio with a focal to secondary-generalized epilepsy model: the Amygdala-Kindling Model.

👇 Discover how this model can help de-risk your candidate, enhance translational relevance, and boost the impact of your research.
